Tracy Ian
I've been working in travel for the past 27 years and I've been fortunate to travel to some amazing worldwide destinations. My favourite place of all is South Africa, mainly for the breathtaking scenery such as at the Entabeni Game Reserve where I was thrilled to see the ‘Big 5’. I combined this with relaxed and stylish Cape Town with its beautiful beaches, colourful markets and iconic sights. My travels have also taken me to Australia, Borneo in Malaysia, Bali, Dubai, Seychelles, Mauritius, Brazil, Jamaica, St Lucia,  Barbados, Antigua, Tobago,  USA & Canada, Mexico, Egypt and Iceland to name but a few. I have also cruised in Europe, Mexico and Alaska and would like to share my wealth of experience with you.

I have worked for Alba Travel for the past 11 years and was honoured to be awarded SPAA Young Personality of the year for 2008/2009, especially since I am so passionate about travel and sharing my knowledge and expertise with bona fide world explorers!! Working at Alba Travel has allowed me to travel to some fantastic destinations, one of my favourites being Pangkor Laut in Malayasia. Here we stayed on an exclusive island where service was second to none, the food, the scenery and the crystal clear waters: WOW!  Other favourites of mine are Dubai, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, Gambia, Canada, America and Mauritius. I enjoy creating bespoke itineraries and finding the ideal holiday to match the traveller’s expectations.

I have worked in travel for 7 years and decided a few years ago to take a year out to travel round the world, exploring many different countries for myself and thereby getting a different perspective on countless places. This mammoth tour inevitably left a host of memorable experiences on my life – one that stands out for me was of the Cook Islands. It was such an idyllic place where the people were so friendly and the culture so diverse, my best memory is the short flight up to the lagoon north of Raratonga where the scenery was absolutely stunning. During these travels I felt like a real explorer and I think travellers should never lose this element of discovery from their holidays.

I am the newest member to have joined the leisure team of Alba Travel and started my career in this industry in 2008 as a trainee. Being surrounded by travel brochures, customer’s tales of their exquisite holidays and learning from the vast experiences of my colleagues, you cannot help but to catch the travel bug pretty quickly! I have been to Spain and the Spanish Islands, Germany ,France, Holland & Belgium. I thought Germany was great and I was bowled over by the fabulous scenery in Bavaria – not to mention the hospitality. Even though so many people have been to Europe, I believe it still has much that remains to be explored.
