"I have visited Crete twice and stayed in Malia on both occasions – Malia is very well known as a lively beach resort attracting the “18-30’s“ age bracket although I was older than this the second time I visited! You can have as busy or as laid back a holiday as you choose here again depending on location of your accommodation. The road that runs down towards the lovely sandy beach is where all the lively bars, hotels etc are so if you are looking for that “18-30” type holiday this would be the area for you. Alternatively go for accommodation in the Old Town with it’s cobbled streets, squares and little authentic balcony restaurants – you wouldn’t know you were in the same resort! Elounda is also a beautiful resort – well worth considering if you are looking for a quieter break in a good beach resort." Tracy Ian, Senior Leisure Travel Consu.ltant
